Dragging the thread back on-topic, TfL have released a pretty picture showing their expected rail upgrades: Link to mapOh yes it's enormous and forum-destroying, but will it all be finished in time or will there be more setbacks for the ELL, etc. Modified by SB to give link instead of 850kb image

And a trappiste beer wouldn't go amiss either. Please don't ever mention alcohol in my presence again...

I was going to suggest perhaps a tube at the end of the funnel going straight to my stomach - instant alcohol and we could leave it in place for the (inevitable) stomach pumping session in the local hospital! ;D *Remembers never to drink in the Hedgehog's presence again...*
EDIT: I should point out that I didn't end up having my stomach pumped last time, though I recall I did wake up with a headache. And for any younger viewers, drinking loads isn't particularly clever.

What a lot of people don't realize is, many of us don't actually want the Olympics here. London Council Tax payers will be paying for this for years to come, and those of us living in East London and Essex will be living with building and roadworks for the next 7 years, driving about is going to be a nightmare. Out of the many polls that were conducted in New York, 75% of New Yorkers did NOT want the Olympics. When we lost the bid, the city breathed a collective sigh of relief. Show Olympic spirit? Listen pal, I got your freakin' Olympic spirit right here (points downward with both hands). And with the revised Queens plan that was put forth by the committee, we weren't looking at any real public transportation improvements. Heck, they tore down the 3rd Avenue elevated line in 1955 because they were going to build a brand new 2nd Avenue line to replace it. We are still waiting for that line to be built. IMO, even though I am a francophile, I must admit that Chirac totally tanked his country's chances of winning. After all, London won by 4 votes (actually by 2 voters). And 2 voters were Finns. 1) Open mouth 2) Stick foot in it Q8? Monsewer? Ewwwwwwwww.

Listen pal, I got your freakin' Olympic spirit right here (points downward with both hands). You won't be surprised to learn that here, in Moscow, it has been exactly the same. After all, not much of us want huge money to be spent for the questionable privilege of 1 month living in a concentration camp.

How do they plan to get all the staff to run this?
