As no doubt there will be various questions surrounding the running of the Rail Adhesion Train (RAT) this autumn, I thought I would post the booked timings for each day.
Each run is subject to the usual terms and conditions. Not all runs will occur every day. Some runs will occur earlier or later than published. The RAT is run to help us run a reliable service during leaf-fall, therefore the need to run it and where may be decided on an hour-by-hour basis.
Mondays To Fridays ------------------ 0405 Watford-Chesham 0437 Chesham-Chalfont 0451 Chalfont-Amersham 0503 Amersham-Harrow 0535 Harrow-Uxbridge 0559 Uxbridge-Harrow 0633 Harrow-Watford 0815 Watford-Northwood 0847 Northwood-Amersham 0919 Amersham-Neasden Dt 1111 Neasden Dt-Amersham 1210 Amersham-Neasden Dt 1435 Neasden Dt-Uxbridge 1513 Uxbridge-Harrow 1546 Harrow-Amersham 1632 Amersham-Watford 1930 Watford-Amersham 2005 Amersham-Neasden Dt 2328 Neasden Dt-RKY 0004 RKY-Northwood 0050 Northwood-Watford

Thank you very much! Will it be: 5110 + 6132 5110 + 6036 5234 + 6132 5234 + 6036 ;D Or 5112 may even make a surprise visit?

I like how the roof of 6036 is so much cleaner than the rest of the train

When can we expect to see 5111 on these runs? Will it be out this year?

(Plug: if you like these sort of photos, the full set has more odd workings from today, including SWT on the District line, NR Test Train and a NR RAT (RHTT)!) FYI, there's something odd about that last link, looks like there are some extra characters in it that's breaking it. My browser tries to access http:/// (three /s) instead of the proper link - www.flickr.com/photos/0causton0/sets/72157631740900742.

Changed it to a full link now in the post so should be fine!

On the M-F diagram, if/when the Watford-Northwood working gets to Northwood for the 08:47 departure, does it come south of the station to reverse? ie does it produce a shot from the Highfield Road bridge?

Judging by the flats on both motor cars 5234/5, 5110 might be out on RAT duties soon.
SWEET!

I notice that 5110 was until the other day stabled on the ramp at the back of the depot. It appears to have moved so it could be out. Is 6132 ready for service yet?

Not an A stock I know(!) but does anyone know the times of the Network Rail Railhead Treatment Train over LUL tracks? Saw it once going northbound at Amersham at about 07.10 on a weekday, but not seen it since.
Thanks.

Thanks Andy,
Just checking:
1) is that the 2 x class 66 plus water tanks, rather than the 117?
2) are those timings weekdays only or does it run weekends as well?
Many thanks...feel a photo trip coming on!

1) Yes.
2) Sorry I should have added weekdays.
Saturdays
0350 N 0554 S 1036 S 1345 N
Sunday
1036 S 1115 N
Note that they won't be running this coming weekend via the Met as it's closed for engineering.

5234 was leading the RAT passing Wembley Park northbound 11.20 this morning.
Also saw the Chiltern loco hauled RHTT this morning - the words "Clean me" spring to mind looking at the state of the 66's.

Just seen it too at Rayners Lane EB. 5234 unit was "stamping its feet" (with flatted wheels) as it passed through!
