Any ideas what the "emergency engineering works" are that have led to Maida Vale being closed since 11:25?
Edit to add: that's odd, showing as closed in the "underground reports" section of the national rail TOCs that use journeychek, but not showing as closed on TfL site.

The station was closed around 11.15 re-opened at 11.27, so looking at the time of your post, you were getting a truthful picture from T fL. Because things were happening relatively quickly, I expect some lines of communication/media output were a little behind reality. Reason for closure: Dust I kid you not!! Well ok, the report of excessive dust was in the tunnel approaching Kilburn Park northbound. The Maida Vale Station Supervisor was sent to investigate [via a designated train] but in doing so Maida Vale station had to close as it went below the laid down minimum staffing numbers. So I suppose ultimately it was really a lack of staff rather than emergency engineering work - the messages that are put out are subject to all sorts of political correctness though and so its really a whole other subject/thread in its own right. Maida Vale was able to reopen once the 'Meal relief' Station Supervisor arrived on site. As for the dust, although there were further reports in both tunnels between Paddington and Kilburn Park, it had apparently dispersed by 11.40.............so it was all done and dusted (sorry ) before you posted!!
