I can't see them, but i think they're at the end so the drivers door is just past the gate.

Yes, just pull up past the barrier, at Canada Water there are OPO monitors, so draw up to them, and at New Cross Gate pull up to the fixed red lights.

In the readme, it lists where you should stop at each station.
