I was wondering if any of you had information on the BVE sim that i've been hearing about on here.
It sounds fantastic and i am a self confessed LUL enthusiast, even though i'm just 15. ;D
Any reviews of the Northern Line / Piccadilly Line downloads - etc?
Cheers
Sturdjos
PS - my computer has 192mb of RAM on it.... do i need to upgrade it for BVE 4.2 to work?

BVE is a very good train simulator. And it's free! It has some elements of realism MSTS lacks and the driving experience (sounds, points etc) is very commendable. If you go on the trainsimcentral website (link above) then it'll give you a step by step intructions on how to download and install, since it is all in Japenese! I really recommend it as do lots of others here. I personally think the LU routes are fabulous and done really well. The Northern Line has to be one of the best routes created. The train is great. The scenrey is great. The activites are great. The picc line is also good, however you need a fast computer to run it. The District Line for BVE 4 is excellent and the ELL (realesed not too long ago) is superb. I have high hopes for the Bakerloo when it is released.
Bascially, BVE is well worth having.
Enjoy!

BVE4 *may* work with 192mb RAM, but it'd be quite slow. BVE2 should be OK though. You also need M$ .net framework, which is bundled with XP SP2. BVE works best under XP but will work under W98, W2k or WME (not linux though ). There is a guide to installation at www.railsimroutes.co.uk/bvehelp

The picc line is also good, however you need a fast computer to run it. That would apply to old versions (up to v4) but the newer v5.2 (released a few weeks ago) works on most machines.

There's no H&C at present. The Picc v5.2 is obtainable at brj.rr.nuCurrently availible are the full Circle, Northern, East London and Bakerloo lines plus parts of the District, Piccadilly. A Central route is being developed. Currently, the Northern, East London and Piccadilly are BVE4 compatible (the others will work but don't have all the flashy extras).

In which case you'll have to find the route homepage by alternate means .

my computer has 192mb of RAM on it.... do i need to upgrade it for BVE 4.2 to work? Maybe . The most important thing is video card - if your one dates back to the previous century, no anount of CPU power and RAM will make BVE to perform reasonably .
