Meant to post this the other day, but totally forgot! Was on the Met last week when the driver announced: "There is a good service on all underground lines at the moment except the Met, which has an excellent service!" I know this was tongue in cheek, but it had me thinking that one day, TFL might actually start using "Excellent service" on their service information boards! Oh please . . . .  |

Another strange announcement heard a few days ago on a northbound Met approaching Wembley Park
"Over there is Wembley Stadium where I hope Queens Park Rangers will lift the FA cup sometime in the next century".
As an R's fan (oh, the years of pain) I was glad at heart to know the driver was a hoops man.

As an R's fan (oh, the years of pain) I was glad at heart to know the driver was a hoops man. I'd have thought making a statement like that whilst in control of a train would be tantamount to professional suicide.  |
