Just ran it and it is fantastic! The route is very much the same to the old one, but the A - Stock train in outstanding. Moving wipers, realistic sounds and if you press '0' a little public address light comes on. Absolutly brilliant.

The route has been updated, especially on the surface at Shoreditch and from Surrey Quays to New Cross Gate. There's also night and off-peak variations including the Whitechapel crossover. The A-Stock is outstanding when compared to the previous version.

(yes, I'm bumping an old thread)
I've been giving the ELL a few goes on BVE4, and noticed the A-stock in the sim uses the motor to aid braking performance. On my numerous trips on the real thing, I've never heard or felt the motors do their work (unlike other tube stocks). Is it therefore more realistic to throw the reverser into N just before braking on the sim? ;D

No. What'd the T/Op'd do in real life (and I have taken to doing it on the sim ... worrying isn't it! ) is, after he's stopped, put the reverser into Off, so he can take his hand off the deadman. In real life, if you think about it, he wouldn't (or shouldn't) put it into Off before braking, due to the possibility of an underun. 'Cos it don't happen in real life, I don't do it on the sim
