The original Bakerloo ran between Lambeth North and Baker Street. But having looked at the Video 125 DEV some time ago (and me being a lot brighter at late evenings), there doesn't seem to be any way trains could have reversed back towards Lambeth North... So how did they do this?

At Edgware Road [or Great Central (Cabin 'C') via crossover 4 reversed with signal 2 off].

There is a large opening near Marylebone (Great Central). Is this the place you are talking about?

There were cabins at Great Central (Marylebone) and then at Edgware Road. There are open former crossover tunnels just south of both stations.
Great Central (Marylebone) had a temporary cabin ('C') initially in the “crow’s nest” over the crossover, later at the south end of the southbound platform.
The cabin at Edgware Road ('B') was at the south end of the southbound platform.
Perhaps MRFS could confirm, please?

But Marylebone did not exist until just one year later?

Great Central (later Marylebone) did exist from 10/3/1906 (to reverse empty trains from/to Baker Street), but not to the public until 27/3/1907.

That's my understanding too - however I've not seen the report MT6 1599/5 at the PRO where the BoT don't like the location of the frame in the crows nest. Certainly both 1907 drawings I have seen have the frames at the south end of the SB platform in both cases.
