Morning all,
Whilst on a (very long and tedious) Met line journey to Kings X on Saturday (21st July) I noticed something rather strange and I was just wondering if someone could clear it up for me.
As we entered Rickmansworth there was an S-Stock on the Amersham/Chesham bound line at around 1300 hours.
It had stopped in the platform and displayed the "Not In Service" signs. It hung around for a short while before reversing and going into Ricky sidings.
I was just wondering if this was a terminating train which was subsequently taken out of service or is it a regular sight to see trains reversing here?
Sorry if it sounds like a silly question, I've just never seen it before.
And on that note, I'm off to bed after finishing my night shift!! ;D

Well, having a look in the working timetable there don't appear to be any scheduled moves into the sidings at that time, so could have been defective or something.

Or it could have been a test train or driver training?

711 was running that day IIRC, which I am aware was doing every possible move in the Rickie area!
Also this week we've had 466 IIRC, one of the booked tip-outs at Harrow (inter-peak stabler), running up to Rickie sidings for station staff S stock familiarisation.
