when i went to woolwich arsenal november last year, the building for the dlr looked way underway, that was a year ago so why hasnt it finsihed yet and when is proposed finsh date?

I think that section of the DLR is scheduled to open in 2009. The King George V end of things looked well under way when I visited on the last day of the NLL to North Woolwich. However I doubt that it will be the stations that take the longest to complete but the tunnel between them. Also once everything is complete and fitted out there will need to be at least a couple of months testing and familiarising staff at all levels with it.

The current opening date is set for feb 09. They only finished the tunnels in July of this year.
I think part of the reason they started so early is the need to build two underground levels (one for the concourse and the other the DLR platforms) at Woolwich Arsenal and well as rebuilding a station, all around a live railway.
I cant get the speeling right with this post today!
