With university done for the summer, It's back to rail modelling... Before I can actually test my rail cars realistically on Trainz, I am going to need to create some infrastructure and I am afraid that one of the hurdles is the lack of knowledge about the new-style track profile that's being rolled out as part of the tube upgrade plan. I know some of you may be concerned about security and such, but I hope you do not mind me asking about the dimensions of the components as highlighted in this hurriedly drawn diagram of a rail track, which also serves as a rough idea of the basic rail spline I hope to create: 1. I observed that they've been using new style conductor rails. What is their width and height, and what is the depth of the "slabs"? 2. I also observed that they've converted from 95lb/yd bullhead to flat-bottom rail but I wonder what is the weight, and is there a standard I can refer to (like BS or EN) or do they have bespoke dimensions? 3. What is the radius of the new conductor cups? As my signature suggests, I have a passion to get it just right. Assistance appreciated, thanks in advance.
