I don't remember seeing anything about this before.
I noticed yesterday that on the left hand end of the side of some of the two car units there is a metal plate at the same level as the car number.
It is about three to four inches square and has two side by side keyhole shaped cutouts in it.
I presume it is to allow something ('Not To Be Moved' board?) to be clipped to the train.
I was trying to work out if it related to new windows but I noted both old and new windowed trains with and without plates yesterday.
Any further info?
Thanks
Andy

These have been fitted to most Stock throughout the network and are indeed to hold a new style of warning target for depot and train staff.

There called Limpet plates and as previously stated, they are to used for securing 'Not to be moved' flags when commissioned. You should see 8 in total on one train.

Thanks for your replies.
Having had a longer period yesterday to observe the 92ts there are actually less units modified than I thought from when I first noticed the plates last week.
I had a brief look at the D stocks at Ealing Broadway but couldn't spot any (but might not have been looking in the right place).

I had a brief look at the D stocks at Ealing Broadway but couldn't spot any There are less on D stocks as they are made up of just two 3 car units rather than the 92ts four 2 car units.

Thanks for the photo link Dstock7080.
Silly me. Being 'sensible' I was looking on the left hand end of the D stocks. Now located them on the right hand ends.
