Is there anywhere to see a picture of the original station which was totally demolished to make way for the Charles Holden masterpiece? It seems several stations along this stretch of route were demolished and rebuilt for the transfer from District Line services to Piccadilly Line services. I use Sudbury Hill quite a lot and it remains impressive and majestic almost 80 years on.

Thank you. It seems the Picc and the Northern between them have the most impressive stations. The new Wood Lane station rather looks like it was put up over one weekend.

Was that the prevailing architecture style for original District stations on the South Harrow line?
