My name is James. I'm interested in old photos of the London Underground, especially of old lifts and Yerkes tiling. I have an extensive collection of photographs going back to late 1987 which I am happy to share. I've had a lot of help form LT museum with this and naturally have Doug Rose's book.
I am looking to fill gaps in my collection. My first priority would be to see colour photos containing Yerkes tiling before 1988, especailly Green Park, Piccadillly Circus and Earls Court. Also I'm very interested to see colour photos of the old Bank lifts. However, any photos of Yerkes stations taken 1988 or earlier would be welcome of course.
My 2nd priority would be, the Russell Square ticket office, Charing X (Trafalgar Sq Bakerloo; Strand Northern), Embankment, Oxford Circus, Regents Park lifts/ticket office, Kings Cross, Waterloo,Tottenham Ct Rd, Goodge St and Charing X Branch Euston platforms.
I have many of Aldwych and associated parts of Holborn, also the now disused parts of Angel - all when in use. I also have ones I got just in time of South Kensington and Lambeth N as "Kennington Road". I have been to Down St. I also have an extensive collection of old tube maps - virtually every year from Beck's original (plus some older) up to the mid 90s. Am willing to scan those for you in exchange for scans of your images.
Any images I receive would be for my own personal use; I'm not interested in publication.
