In my time on the Met, 1973/4, we certainly ran several C stocks from Wembley Park and Neasden depot, usually empty stock, but that was during the staff shortages so they sometimes got pressed into service.
They gave a good ride on the main, but were very noisy with a top speed of about 45!

We also used to run the last NB on the Jubilee from Finchley Road, then crossover onto the Met again just North of Neasden. In the morning the C stocks run the first SB from Wembley on the Met, the first SB on the Jubilee from Neasden and crossover at Finchley Road and on a Sunday it was the first SB Jubilee from Wembley platform 4, again crossing over at FRD. There were no stopping marks or CSDE then, so you just pulled right up to the mirror or monitor and opened the doors.

I'm sure a fairwell tour for the C stock will involved a run up the Met. It would be nice to run an 8 car C stock train. How about Upminster to Amersham, Uxbridge, Richmond, Aldgate and finally Hammersmith - one top day out when the time comes
