I wouldn't believe a thing you read on the disruption board. Back in 2007, the BBC local news announcer happily announced that IIRC the Bakerloo Line was not stopping at Victoria. Technically correct, but hardly newsworthy! The phone, text and website services all said the same thing, too. But try to convince someone at TfL that there's something wrong with the announcement and it's like hitting your head on a brick wall. I believe one side of the conversation went something like: "Hello, your service status is showing that the Bakerloo is not stopping at Victoria." "Yes, I know that's what it says. I'm letting you know that is what it says." "No, I do not need an alternative route to Victoria." "Yes, but I'm phoning you to tell you that that is what you are telling the world. It's on the text service, the recorded announcement and on the BBC travel news." "Listen to me, please. The Bakerloo Line does not go through Victoria." "NO! NOT ISN'T STOPPING. DOESN'T EVER GO THERE. THE BAKERLOO LINE DOES NOT... oh forget it. Bloody idiot."

It can be compared to "don't believe everything you read in the newspapers" - except for the Evening Standard, of course ;D ;D ;D

I remember what made me laugh a few months back. Waterloo & City Line - Part Suspended. If you don't get it instantly you should be ashamed (and yes it was really on TfL's website)

I remember what made me laugh a few months back. Waterloo & City Line - Part Suspended. If you don't get it instantly you should be ashamed (and yes it was really on TfL's website) I think this has been mentioned before - as i understood it, one of the platforms at Waterloo was unusable for some reason, so trains were running in service in one direction and returning empty
