at about 18.10ish somebody leave them on? I didn't realise how much was done down there. I presume it's used as a handy engineer's store when working on the line?

There's a considerable amount of p-way equipment (tools & spares) stored on both platforms at Bull & Bush. The northbound platform also contains various rooms associated with the Floodgate Control Room, mess rooms etc. The actual floodgate control room one level up from the platforms however, and is located roughly where the lower lift landings would have been. Most of the equipment is still in situ, whether it still does anything I wouldn't like to say, however it is now very derelict and heavily vandalised. Stockwell is another place where there's things to see if the lights are left on - remnants of the former C&SLR sidings, the original station platform access passageway etc. Sometimes, if one knows exactly when & where to look and if the right lights are left on, the depot incline access tunnel can be glimpsed from the southbound Victoria Line approaching Stockwell.

dont you mean the southbound northern line? Nope definitely the southbound Victoria Line, which cuts through the depot access tunnel and also one siding.

I was looking at the Northern line training video the other day wondering why I could't spot the incline. Now I know why! Do any photos exist of the incline or am I going to have to go for a cab ride?

This tunnel is blocked off after about 30 metres. The rest of the sidings & incline is the other side of the Victoria Line. I've not seen any photos published anywhere, a small number of staff have been round there and taken photos for their own use.

You can't actually see the end of the disused tunnel as it contains the IMR which fills the full width apart from the cable run and accessway down the side IIRC although I haven't worked in that part of the complex since 1977, indeed one of the first jobs I ever did on the Northern, we were putting tracks to standard at Stockwell and the three Claphams.
