Good Morning all,
The previous weekend I was in London and the South East. The trip away was primarily a "non railway" weekend, however I still managed to get in a few pictures on the Thursday and Saturday.
The Thursday's photos are from Chelmsford, London Liverpool Street, London Underground Bank Station, London Waterloo, Twickenham and Richmond. At Richmond several posters from the 1980's have recently been uncovered and all these were photographed.
On Saturday, after relocating to London for the night I had some free time to do a walk I have been wanting to do for many years. The Parkland Walk is a walk over a former railway line between Highgate and Finsbury Park. If all had gone to plan and Hitler hadn't got in the way with the 2nd World War this line would today be part of the Northern Line from Highgate to Moorgate via Finsbury Park. Electrification of the line was well under way prior to the outbreak of war and even to this day, 70 odd years later remains of the aborted electrification scheme can still be found. A fascinating piece of London Railway History.

Off Topic I know but some of the members may find them of interest: The latest Irish Photos are from Wednesday 18th January with 22003 at Killarney in charge of the 1715 Tralee - Cork and Tuesday 24th January 2012 I had a day out at various locations between Tullamore and Monastervin to photograph the DFDS / IWT Liner trains and the Empty Timber from Waterford to Ballina

I hope you enjoy the latest updates.
