I found this video earlier which shows a few 1972mk2 cars present. Are these here for scrapping or refurb? The date claims to be 1990
There are also some IoW standard stock cars.

What a co-incidence, purely by chance I came across that last night aswell! I was a bit annoyed actually as I was trying to avoid views of scrap standards! Didn't think.

1990 was, I think, before the main 1972 stock refurb programme began. May have been some trains for trial refurb?

The 1972 MkIIs were there for painting. Trains 1 and 2 of the Bakerloo refurbishment programme (also Vic Line Trains 1 and 2) and went from there to Rosyth for interior refurbishment.
Very brief glimpses can also be seen of CP stock motor cars, but which one(s) I don't know. In November 1989, 53220, 53268, 54239 and 54264 all went there by road.
There was also a very brief glimpse of 1962 Stock NDM 9741 - I took a photo of the remaining shell in, I think, January 1990. Most (at least three) of the CP cars were still there in the 'pile' at the time, along with the Pre-1938 IoW cars.
The Vic Line prototype refurb has been back in London for some months by then.

Do you recall what cars were used for the Vic trial refurb?

Another coincidence too, a group of me and my friends were looking at this over Skype, and I vowed to make a thread on here about it but err forgot!

The CP cars were ex test train stock weren't they. What a waste. Shame they couldn't keep a couple for spares and perhaps a preserved train.

The CP cars were involved in test train work after withdrawal and languished in Ealing Broadway sidings for some time. Indeed a shame The Vic Line prototype refub comprised units 3061+3110. Looking at my notes, the first of the refurbs proper didn't arrive at Vic Berrys for painting until June 1990 (Vic Line) and September 1990 (B'loo), which may date the video more accurately from around September 1990. The movements of these first two trains from both lines is a can of worms. Not only did they 'visit' Vic Berry, but Plassers of West Ealing and MOD Kineton were involved, as well as Rosyth for the main interior refurb work.

Yep, but not doing much though. Waiting for 2009 Stock Train 20 to return and then shunt it for forming up, and then ....

I am fairly sure it will be non-traffic hours

wasnt there a fire at that site that covered the area in toxic dust and was later forced to close?.

I think so yes. The towers of stacked cars were henceforth banned as it help propagate the fire.

The painted pre-refurb trains moved out in March 1991. Good job they weren't around when the fire started
