It's an interesting programme, but I know nothing about railways really, and can spot continuity errors a mile off...so some of you guys must spend every episode spitting feathers! ( as I do for pretty much every episode of Holby City!! Lol)

Its full of continuity errors. He is shown on a train, but when he alights it shows a different type of train etc etc.
Not a fan of Portillo, but now that we are on the third series, I have warmed to him slightly, or maybe I have just got used to his grimace! As TQ has said, the Railways are a loose connection, so its not for the diehards. It is a gentle, reasonably informative programme, not much brainpower is needed.

Tonight's is quite interesting, and is based in London. I'm finding it a pleasant way to pass the time with my glass of rose :-)

I'm currently watching Great British Railway Journeys, and they visited the Eastleigh Works. A Metropolitan A-stock carriage was seen there, which Portillo commenting that he used to travel on the Met line.
Any ideas why the A-stock carriage was there?
