Number one son gave me a great Chrissie present. ''Metroland'' reproduction of the 1924 Edn. House ads, descriptions of leafy Preston Rd Halt, Abbey Building Society(later Abbey National) advert for lending to prudent borrowers, etc. Also a table of local data of residential districts in Metroland including train frequencies and times. How does this compare today?
Wembley Park to Baker St.. 265 trains each way daily. 11 mins journey time. Pinner to BS 41 trains daily each way 22 mins journey. Chesham to BS 27 trains daily each way 52 mins jouney time.
Just for interest a Semi 3 bed house in Park Lane Wembley cost £750-£1000,built by the ''famous'' locally Comben and Wakeling

I'm sure Chesham to BS takes a lot longer now. I'll look it up..

Those times quoted will certainly be limited stop services. The Pinner trains were most likely to stop at Nth Harrow, Harrow (to change to electric traction) and Baker Street. The Chesham trains may have stopped at Chalfont (perhaps with a shuttle), Chorley Wood, Rickmansworth, Sandy Lodge, Northwood, Pinner and Baker Street.
We have to remember that these were the best times and may have been limited stop. Many stations were not built including Northwood Hill, and the Watford branch. Also Neasden-West Hampstead were in the hands of local Met trains from Harrow, Wembley and Uxbridge.
It's guess work really and any combination of stops seems to have been possible in those days. I'm sure MRFS will be along in a minute with more accurate responses......

I'm sure MRFS will be along in a minute with more accurate responses...... Unfortunately, I've not got much in the way of detailed notes on the Met services of this era, but I will go and have a quick peer in the library now.. Watch this space..

VERY Interesting
Recently found in a junk shop was a perfect edition of the "G.C.&Met Joint Committee" Easter Holiday train services timetable for 1937, O.K., admittedly not 1924, but fairly close.
The first train from Pinner to Baker Street on that Easter Monday was the 7.16 and it arrived at BSt at 7.49 being all stations incl. Willesden Green. On the same day, the first out (06.20) was a Watford service, all stns incl Willesden and "Moor Park & S.L." arriving at 7.09 . . The first G.C. departure on that Bank Hol Monday was the 06.48 from Marylebone semi-fast to Quainton Road (arr 08.16).
EXcluding Uxbridge services, SEVEN trains an hour during the day from Baker St during the day to WATFORD (every 20 minutes) or Aylesbury. ALL called at Pinner, PLUS there were the UXB's and the G.C's to Quainton Rd etc too - all on an Easter Monday. Don't tell the Pinner MP > > He'll throw a wobbly!!

Right then - I can only easily find times for 1933 and 1906...
1906 had Chesham - BkS at 54 min, with stand time of 2 min at Harrow and 3 min at Wembley Park; WmPk - BkS were 22 min all stops, 16 min limited stop and Pinner - BkS was 33 min limited stop.
In 1933 things had changed, juiced as far as Ricky, so the timings were slightly different: Chesham - BkS 50 min, non-stop below Northwood, WmPk - BkS was 21 min missing out Marlborough Rd and StJW, 14 min only stopping at Willsden Grn (also gives a Pinner time of 27 min), 13 min non-stop to BkS (same train gives 30 min from Pinner, with a 3 min coupling allowance [‡] at Harrow).

Still a little off the (1924) mark, but Underground News for March 2011 (pages 138-153) summarises services on all the "Met" lines in 1920, based on WTTs issued on 3/5/20. Includes Pullman Car workings, Circle and (District) Circle workings, H&C, East London, GN&C and, of course, the main line.
