On the weekend of 28th/29th January, the District line is presently showing as suspended between Earls Court and Kensington Olympia, Richmond and Ealing Broadway. The Piccadilly line is also scheduled to be suspended between Acton Town and Uxbridge. According to the TfL website, rail replacement services are scheduled to operate as follows:
Service A: Northfields, Ealing Broadway, Ealing Common, Acton Town, Gunnersbury, Chiswick Park, Turnham Green, Stamford Brook, Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith
Service E: Acton Town, Ealing Common, North Ealing, Hanger Lane, Alperton, Sudbury Town, Sudbury Hill, South Harrow, Rayners Lane.
Services B, C and D do not serve Acton Town, hence why I have not included them.
On the Saturday, I will need to get from Ealing Broadway to Acton Town. I've been able to find the times for service E in the journey planner, but haven't been able to find the timetable for service A. I've phoned LU twice, and both times been told to circulate via Hanger Lane to pick up service E, but would obviously prefer to get service A.
1) Does anyone know if this service will operate? 2) If it does operate, where will it pick up at Ealing Broadway, and drop at Acton Town? Thanks

The two stations are about 25 minutes apart, walking distance around Ealing Common. Very pleasant. I've done it hundreds of times.

Sean B you might be lucky and have a full District & Picc service that weekend, as the planned work for 14/15 January has been cancelled because of the traffic problems around Hammersmith.

If the A service does run, the normal picking up point at Ealing Broadway is stop G, while at Acton Town the stop is normally stop R.

Are you talking about next weekend or the last weekend of the month.

Sean B, 28th 29th. Dstock7080, yes, I forgot that this was a through service rather than a starting service, so Stop X would be correct.

If this work goes ahead, I would avoid service A, as it's likely to be disrupted by delays at the Hammersmith end, owing to the congestion caused by the Hammersmith Flyover closure. You could take a 207 or 427 bus from stop H in the Broadway to Denehurst Gardens stop and it's about a 600-metre walk from there to Acton Town.

Engineering work has been cancelled owing to the Flyover-gate! The closures THIS weekend (14/15 Jan) were cancelled for that reason, but the 28/29 Jan closure is still shown on the TfL website: "no service between Earl's Court, Ealing Broadway and Richmond".

Oh yeah! Should really pay more attention!

Which I'm sure solved ALL the gridlock problems and the roads were all free-flowing and clear

Unfortunately having looked into this, i regard the info on the TfL public website to be incorrect.
The weekend of 28-29/1 sees the Piccadilly Line with no service between Acton Town and Uxbridge, the District Line with no service between Earl’s Court and Kensington (Olympia)/Ealing Broadway/Richmond.
Why therefore does the Piccadilly Line require replacement bus Service A: running from Northfields to Hammersmith; Service B: Boston Manor - Ealing Broadway; Service C: Boston Manor - Hammersmith; Service D: Hammersmith - Richmond??
The info i have is that only the following buses will operate: Service D: Turnham Green - Chiswick Park - Gunnersbury (early morning/late night services extended to Richmond and Hammersmith). Service E: Acton Town - Ealing Common - North Ealing - Hanger Lane (for Central Line) – Alperton - Sudbury Town - South Harrow - Rayners Lane. Service F: Earl’s Court - Kensington (Olympia) - West Kensington - West Brompton - Earl’s Court.
"Passengers for Ealing Broadway should use the Central Line".
