And you might well see another eight car s stock arriving shortly. But one thing you wont see, is another a60 being scrapped in turn. ;D

Oh good, is this because of the extra trains needed in the new timetable? I think this timetable actually uses less trains! Think not scrapping an A stock is more to do with the (un)reliability of the S stock!

Presumably this means that LU/Bombardier have decided all the S stock problems can be fixed with either adjustments or software changes, and no hardware changes are required. If this interpretation is correct it is good news.

Or that Derby is desperate to get some extra room? Or that LUL are anxious to gain a bit of breathing room...
I guess the big question is, what happens if the S stock ends up less reliable finally than people had assumed? All the eggs in one basket starts to look a serious constraint for the next 30 years :/

There will be problems as with anything on the scale of Rolling Stock... However, these problems will be ironed out and it may take some time. Just a little bit of patience is required!
