Hi all A few questions regarding Trainz. I currently use the 2009 version and am creating my own tube network. Unfortunatly when I upgraded to the 09 version I lost my previous route and along with it all of my tube downloads from the download station. I was told a way of transferring all of my data to the 09 version but have in time lost the data so.... 1. I want to download the D78 stock and 1967 stock from the download station and have registered the number of my 09 version to do this. However the download station does not appear to be working and displays the word "idle" when I try to download something. How do I overcome this? 2. Where can I find a renamable LU roundel to download? There does not appear to be one on the download station. 3. I would like to download an S Stock but I do not think one has yet been made. How easy is it to make one and how do I do it? Your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Trainz 09. Good choice! Don't update to service pack 4 though, overall its seems to have received a negative reaction with regards to performance and compatability, and I have to say I've experienced this aswell, regardless of settings. Before hand I was running mine on top whack settings, with a 1Gb Radeon 5770 and it was managing about 20fps. Now in the same areas its managing about 4fps, and you cant downgrade either The DLS is notoriously poor, it'll come up with a sign at the bottom of Content Manager saying 'unable to connect'; easy to miss. Sometimes you can go days without connecting sucessfully, the only solution is to pay for a first class ticket (don't bother... thats oversubscribed) or just keep trying and trying. Its very difficult to make anything, it seems, unless you like endlessly fiddling with the equivilant of a CAD programme. You might be better off looking for a recent electrostar, then finding if you can a copy of paint shed, an application that came with very old versions of Trainz. This probably wont work though, as the modeling methods have changed over the years. Sorry to be on a downer with it! Its a great programme overall, and very intuitive, but some bits and pieces with how it works are extremely frustrating.
