Good evening all, The 2nd day started with a trip on the Brighton Express from London Victoria to Brighton on board one of the refurbished Class 442's. Once at Brighton, the plan for the day was to travel on several of the Class 313's recently introduced by Southern to the Coastway routes. From Brighton I travelled out West to Bognor Regis before retracing my steps back to Brighton. Next I headed out to Seaford, passing through the town of Newhaven along the way. The area around the Harbour Station has certainly seen better days and has a very run down feel to it. Once back at Lewis, I continued east along the line to Hastings, and across the Marsh to Ashford on board a Southern Class 171 DMU. The final leg of the journey was a high speed sprint to London St. Pancras on board the Class 395 units. The end of the day has some various London Underground photos and a visit to Paddington to see the Sleeper train to Penzance.
