A link from that blog in turn reveals a new and little heralded development - suitably-trained guide dogs (and police dogs) may now use escalators without being carried. Given that they are on the large end of the doggie size spectrum, carrying was not usually an option anyway, so most blind people simply couldn't use escalators.

And HERE'S that link... Outdated.... understatement of the century ;D ;D ;D Perhaps I'm being flippant by stating the bleeding obvious, but why would anyone in their right mind not think that those visually impaired would know that they should carry their guide dogs... surely there would have been signs everywhere
