A quick question, do cab lights flicker whilst going over railgaps, as the saloon lights do?

Not as far as I've noticed. I believe they stay on by taking power from the battery in the same way as the emergency saloon lights.

Depending on the charge in the batteries, the intensity of the bulb may lessen momentarily.

Essential equipment in the cab - of A stock anyway , is fed from the batteries. Things such as - ep brake , cab light , train radio , p.a. and pea. In the event of the loss of traction current you would maintain the ability to see what you are doing and communicate with punters , controllers.

All auxillary circuits (50 volt circuits) are fed from the battery, as well as the MA's. As an I/O, shame on you adw ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D (BTW, you can clearly see it on your MA diagram ;D ;D)

On the A stock, the MA light will fade or drop out when passing over railgaps.

On the A stock, the MA light will fade or drop out when passing over railgaps. That stands to reason. ;D

Ha Ha.
Also on most (if not all trains) you hear the compressors cut out or the air con drops (A/CON not sure on that one)

the air con drops (A/CON not sure on that one) The only Air Con on an A60 is an open communicating door window.
