I always get 21009/10 and that's really bad from the outside and inside.
Really disappointed to hear of the vandalism.

Problem is that as more of them enter service, more will be stabled in sidings where the mindless scum can get at them.
No excuse for them being dirty though. Is the trainwash at Neasden working?

that's why i prefer the simllar one to overground one which is more better for trainwash but central and jubbiee/northern have trainwash that works with outer hung doors - i am not sure about jubbiee that uses neasdon - there any other trainwashes that can wash S stock?

they have bought the equivalent of a square peg to fit into a round hole.the a stock is a far better train for the metropolitan line and a successor is supposed to be an improvement.
from what's been commented by many this looks to be far from the case.
also for a line also that's mostly above ground the a stock's air conditioning proved effective by pulling the window vent and the motion of the train doing the rest.

So basically the S stock is a waste of money and a prelude to the Boristrain?

^^Agreed Quite logical. Airconning on tubes is impossible, without spending money that could go to the Chelney line. Plus, I like the off-peak Central climate. Not too warm, not too hot... (what's that smell, btw?). What's the use of articulation anyway, beyond the fact that there's slightly more room and that it's less claustrophobic. But back to the dirty S stocks. They should have built new train washes, or hire people to the friggin' work...

Three roads were only given back last week.

And the wash machines should be optimised for S stock when S stock are the majority of the Met fleet. Not so long to wait now, I wonder whether that work will be on programme...

Its a shame these new trains are getting scratched windows and getting dirty if this carries on these trains are going to start to look worn out soon.

I quite like the S stock's air conditioning actually... it keeps me nice and constantly cool rather than a harsh smack of air in your face... ...and 'mostly above ground' - do you know where the heat goes from air con? Or rather, where it would go if it were in a deep-level tube station at the moment? Oh yes - it would make the stations even hotter. They can already be 35 degrees + more than the outside temperature, and air con pushing more hot air onto the platforms would *definitely* help that!

Unless we have PED's everywhere which would be about a billion pound project.
