I had to Gloogal that - urbexing. Glad that I did. Some fab historical pix from all over. Well worth a look. www.urbexing.co.uk/I just love to have a trip down the Fleet. I always thought it was just a covered over sewer, not a subterranean cathedral of brickwork........... www.sub-urban.com/

Great artical, the sheer pride the Victorians took in their work never ceases to amaze! Thanks for sharing.

Stunning photography. Reminds me of the last scenes of The Third Man.

These were great shots to me over here in the "sticks". I know a lot about the Fleet river from my vast readings on the history of London and the UK. However, this was a real nice collection of photos to see.

I've recently read lots about the River Fleet, someone has put a set of Geocaches along the route from teh source next to Kenwood House to Blackfriars. Once you know what to look for the route above ground is fairly easy to spot, the valley around Parliament Hill and the roads around Dartmouth Park for example

Cracking set of pictures without doubt.
There's so much hidden under London, gems like that really show a small proportion of what we are missing.
