Does anyone know if these stocks all used the same type of control gear and controllers. They were all converted in their later years to Q stocks and had EP Brakes fitted so i take the throttle controls would have been the same aswell. What EP brake controllers and throttle controllers did they have fitted in the conversion. Thanks. Darren.

Just seen this so here goes. From 1929, all these stocks had automatic contractor control with BTH master controllers. In 1938-9 those converted to Q Stock were fitted with 6-position A type e.p. brake controllers and air doors. Some trailers lasted into the 1950s with hand-worked doors as part of the H Stock fleet until they were converted to Q Stock as part of the R Stock cascade programme. You don't need the full programme do you?
