How!? One of the sidings has been lengthened? They (well the three left) all have. However, D stocks can only go in from High Street Kensington.

C stocks can also reverse off the eastbound without going all the way to High Street Ken Why would they want to do that? After terminating at Earl's Court, in case something is up at HSK?

Why would they want to do that? After terminating at Earl's Court, in case something is up at HSK? It is not possible to enter 36Rd at Triangle from High Street, the only access is from the EB track and signal ED172.

I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, but Quail 5 seems to suggest that the only access is via HSK - has the access changed in recent years?

Have the sidings been renumbered now that there are less of them, with 36 now on the other side of the through tracks than shown in Quail (where 37 and 38 are marked). The old 37 and 38 only look like they were accessible from the EB track.

I'm with it now. An awkward move, though, and presumably a last resort.

If 00.29 isn't a last resort, I'd like to know when is Northwood siding More seriously, that looks like a rusty rail/driver knowledge retention move. There are moves on the combine that have no scheduled services over them and are a true last resort.

I'm certainly not saying you're wrong, but Quail 5 seems to suggest that the only access is via HSK - has the access changed in recent years? Quail I'm sure doesn't show the signalling. From platform 3 (ED11) and pfm4 (ED10) there is only 1 route available- to the WB line, from which you can't access 37Rd.

There is a diagram, including the signaling of the revised track layout, in the July 2011 Underground News, page 368. This shows signals ED171/172 protecting no 37 siding and the crossover (no 157) to the westbound and the two sidings.
