Walking in a park near the Met line ( North Harrow) heard what sound like a Class 20 heading towards Harrow.... that not normal for this time of day to have loco out like that in daylight...
Anyone know what it up to?

I think they do occasionally run on the Met Line in daytime - presumably running from Neasden to West Ruislip before departing for their home soil...

These are the ones that brought the latest S Stock (43/44) down (should say 'up' - 'up' to London, 'down' to the country!! ;D ;D ) into Neasden early yesterday morning. Ex-Neasden and into Ruislip siding at about 15.45 (ish) this afternoon then seen on the LU-NR connecting line at West Ruislip about 15 (ish) mins ago.

Nobody appears to have spotted through the OP's original sighting that Neasden-Ruislip Depot doesn't (normally) involve running via North Harrow ;D
For (very strangely) the 2nd week in a row, on approach to Harrow on the northbound fast from Wembley, the route into Harrow Platform 4 failed and locked up both routes into platforms 3 and 4. Thus for the 2nd time in as many weeks, the train was sent to Rickmansworth to reverse back to Harrow and then off to Ruislip from Platform 5.

Nobody appears to have spotted through the OP's original sighting that Neasden-Ruislip Depot doesn't (normally) involve running via North Harrow ;D On the other hand, "a park near North Harrow" could be West Harrow Rec. The only other parks in North Harrow sufficiently close to hear (but not see) the trains are Woodlands and Yeading Brook Walk.

Yeading Brook Walk at north harrow end, 1 min later and would have been able to see.
