I spotted this on Twitter a little earlier via a tweet from @londonist - Includes several pictures, a short video and a decent write up. Clickety clickOddly enough, it was a fascination with ghost stations that led me to Dave's site many years ago, and subsequently to here a short time after it opened.

Indeed, looking at those pictures I wonder why they bricked the running lines off - I annoy myself every time I miss York Road, so missing another because there's nothing to see is equally as frustrating.

I walked past the former entrance to the station when visiting Imperial College, which is still noticeable as it retains its Leslie Green style facade. Be interesting to have a look around stations that are also closed now. How about a railtour to aldgate using the 38ts, or even the 67ts if that comes to fruition ever.

I'd love to have a tour of all the ghost stations, but that's RIPAS at best - Only the branch lines are going to be possible as everything else is clogged with normal traffic or engineering hours, unless there was an overnight clearance as a one-off, but I'd wager it'd cost an arm and a leg, and possibly a neckbone thrown in too. That said.... Perhaps there is some mileage in RIPAS - It'd be interesting to see the uptake of interest in the first place. *Heads off to create thread*

The brick walls between the running lines and the platform areas were built so that the platform areas could be used for secure offices during WW2.
