Seen this a few times now. Although not one of his better songs, it does give a really good snapshot of the underground 25 years ago. This was around the era when I begun my solo roaming of the system and bit by bit, it's disappeared!

I liked the video, the Underground shots, and the song. And amazingly enough, 25 years later, the man himself will be in my home town (Cincinnati, OH) tomorrow night (Aug. 4, 2011) in concert.  |

I liked the video, the Underground shots, and the song. And amazingly enough, 25 years later, the man himself will be in my home town (Cincinnati, OH) tomorrow night (Aug. 4, 2011) in concert. The man is a legend! I didn't get to go for various reasons, but it was a total sell-out. People of all ages and types. Folks even stood outside the gates of the stadium in the afternoon to listen to the "sound checks". I will admit to enjoying him (and the Beatles) from the first songs released in the US back in 1964. In a somewhat Forrest Gump moment, my family (me a young teen) and I flew in from Spain to New York City on the same day the Beatles arrived in there for their first appearance on the Ed Sullivan show - February 9. All those screaming girls! I am glad we were already ensconced in our hotel by then. |
