A very nice shot of Cockfosters, there. Thanks, with the aid of a bench or a flower bed support to keep it steady

Was there for the 5064 shot, but like I said when I was with you, if it wernt a double ender it would have been better because you wont have the blisters on the front. Unlucky you also had 7523 which is also a double ender! Nice shots

Those things on the corners of the cabs to allow those inter-carriage barriers to be attached I guess. I'm also guessing 'blister' is Ken's own term for them.

I've decided I'll only post updates that are relevant to London, unless you guys think otherwise ;D Other updates do happen, so check out the link provided here for them, or keep up and just add me as a contact on flickr, thanks. Anyway, here's my favourite photo from yesterday's random jaunt to London. www.flickr.com/photos/willfaichneyphotography/This being particularly interesting as its one of the only 442 operated services out of the bridge, which it is suited well to, rather than gat-ex's.

To be honest, there's nothing stopping you from sharing any pictures, in this area it doesn't have to be London exclusive as you'll see if you look around.
I've got dozens from my neck of the woods, but I'm no expert behind the lens, so most of mine go to feature as backgrounds for the quizzes.
That said, and totally O/T, I do plan to get myself a decent camera sometime soon - The point and shoot version I have now was amazing back in the day I bought it, but it's seriously outdated now, and I'm after something similar to the Olympus I binned in favour of it.
So yeah, on topic, post anything you have, feel free to share, it's appreciated by more people than would reply.

Some nice pics there mappman. Talking of Trellick Tower, the block was designed by Erno Goldfinger, who once upset Ian Fleming and so one of the Bond villains was given his name.In contrast to the public perception of architects,Goldfinger lived, with his wife, for a year in the newly-completed Trellick Tower and once a week held a soiree to which he invited the other (Council) tenants until he had personally met every other resident and heard their feedback on his design....which he tried then to revise accordingly. He was also on the County of London Plan committee to rebuild London after the War. Trellick Tower is supposed to quite chi-chi now,but there's another Goldfinger estate (recogniseably similar in design) right next to the Blackwall Tunnel Northern Approach Road,on the left a few hundred yards after you emerge from the N/B tunnel. This one is still waiting for the gentrifiers....

This one is still waiting for the gentrifiers.... Yep, you're right. That's Balfon Tower, which is a slightly shorter version of Trellick Tower. I need to pay a visit to that area too. When walking around places like this, especially the more notorious ones, such as the Aylesbury Estate, I usually plan them to be done in the early morning, when no one is around. For example, I walked around the Aylesbury Estate between 8 and 9 in the morning. I'll pay another visit, but I always keep my wits about me, for obvious reasons. Here is a set of that theme, as its quite far back in my photosteam www.flickr.com/photos/willfaichneyphotography/sets/72157628079243631/Also, my collection of LU pictures is growing too! www.flickr.com/photos/willfaichneyphotography/sets/72157628063666645/Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone, keep it coming!

I recently learnt that he also designed Alexander Fleming House in Elephant and Castle...not so very far from the Aylesbury Estate, and visible on the "Up" side of the Thameslink line. A clearly superior bit of architecture, reminiscent of Mondrian,it used to be the DHSS for South London but has been converted into upmarket flats. If I go photographing or filming, particularly in "risky" areas,I go with someone else and we can watch each others' backs.... You might be interested in taking a shufty at Dawson's Heights,Overhill Road....
