I was walking around with mates earlier and I saw a train stopped at a red signal just westbound of Leytonstone, then proceeded (presumably) in RM. Anyone shed some light on what happened?

Code Red, Code Amber, Code Yellow, Code Brown, Code Beige................For this train, a *Code Yellow* had been implemented..................

Come again? I know what Red and Amber are for.. Yes, yes indeed. The train proceeded under *Code Yellow* until Stratford where it reverted to "normal" *Code Beige* The driver could of, if he had wanted to, reverted to *Code Beige* at Leyton, but he remained under *Code Yellow* just to be safe.............

You're more than welcome. We should all be grateful, I suppose, that it wasn't a *Code Brown* that had been implemented. The repercussions would of been long lasting for those in the industry..........I think the driver "did good" and deserves a commendation. Unfortunately as there isn't any money these days all he'll get is a monochrome photo copy of a colour "thankyou" certificate ( unframed ) and perhaps a P&R at Leytonstone without any hassle for once............."Then I'll have to screw it down if you haven't got anyone cos' I'm desperate!" Which means the whole line will be put under *Code Satsuma aka Orange " - as in *rebellion*...........

what was the train doing in RM? Was there some sort of ATP/ATO failure?

what was the train doing in RM? Was there some sort of ATP/ATO failure? No failure in anything, but a *Code Yellow* had been implemented as far as Leyton. As these things have a way of running down tunnels the driver, commendably under his own volition, extended the *Code Yellow* instruction to Stratford. After which he reverted to *Code Beige* The knock-on delays caused him to put out for a P&R at White City on the WB. Predictably there was no one to assist in his discomfort, so after that it all went *Satsuma* when he screwed it down................

Do you know why there was a Code Yellow?

Do you know why there was a Code Yellow? Yes! Exceedingly *Low Adhesion* - Trains not to move at more than 15cms per second............Try getting up the incline at Stratford at that speed, and then opening up on both sides. It takes skill...!... Boris I hope you're taking note...........

Wow. Fun days. To be honest I'd like to see Boris even try to be a door-opener..

Wow. Fun days. To be honest I'd like to see Boris even try to be a door-opener.. He couldn't do it even if he tried. But, why should he? He's Mayor and so has a flunky to open doors, and anything else for him - baked beans, toothpaste, poppadoms, Stella etc............When Boris is out and about on The Tube, there is a special code to warn staff of his potential presence in their area - *Code Puce* ( RMT Rage)..............
