BVE 4 - tired of this problem

I have an iMac with Snow Leopard on it, as well as VMWare Fusion installed on it, allowing me to run Windows XP side by side with Mac OS X. This lets me use BVE 4.
I've never once used BVE 4 when it has worked properly. Since the first time I have used it on the VMWare Fusion XP, there is an issue whereby no signals come up. I can see most other things apart from signals. Instead of being able to see them, all I can see are white blocks/patches.

Is there any way to fix this?
