I thought that members might be interested to see this O-gauge model of a 3-car set of 1938ts that I saw at the Train Collectors' Society exhibition at Sandy, Beds., last Saturday. I took a few video clips; they're on my YouTube site: www.youtube.com/user/rhubarbrhubarb77I gathered from the owner that it's scratch-built - and a very pleasing feature is that it has operational doors! To my mind, it's an impressive piece of work.

It's almost a shame that it's coarse-scale...... Almost! To have opening doors on a model is a fantastic achievement and my congratulations go to its builder. You can almost hear the doors rattling on the runners..... Superb work!

The operating doors are awesome!!! Just a pity that the double-curvature of the cab-end of the 38ts is so difficult to form. If I hadn't been told different I would have called it a 56ts prototype stock (apart from the colour).
