they have joint symbols on google maps, but that answer seems too straight forward, but that is common for all four stations, except greenwich which has DLR instead

No, but there's a connection involving BR and the four main locations...
EDIT
A tube map would possibly make things clearer.

All the stations have another station on the same tube line that connects the same line on BR except Kentish Town which doesnt?
EDIT
By that I mean South Ruislip & West Ruislip, Vauxhall and Victoria and Greenwich & Lewisham

EDIT By that I mean South Ruislip & West Ruislip, Vauxhall and Victoria and Greenwich & Lewisham Kentish Town is connected to St Pancras , London Bridge and Elephant by both the Northern Line and Thameslink . However, Greenwich and Lewisham have no direct BR connection (unless you count the circular services via Crayford/Barnehurst).

You're banging on the door - Hmmm.....
OK, they all connect to (what I refer to as) BR stations - Now can you see anything? Keep following from the locations in particular....

This is really bugging me, I've studied the tube map & London Connections map and can't find anything. I can only guess, maybe it's that the Underground Line connects with NR again at it's closest terminus except the odd one out?

From all you can take a BR/NR/not London Rail train to another London Rail (LU/LO/DLR) station - in one direction from Kentish Town, in either direction from the others. And similarly an LR train to a notLR interchange - in one direction from KT, both from the others.

All the stations have another station on the same tube line that connects the same line on BR except Kentish Town which doesnt? This is about 95% of the answer, and between all the rest of you you are close enough: All these stations are the penulitmate interchange with National Rail (heading away from Central London) on their line/branch except Kentish Town which is the last NR interchange on the High Barnet branch
