I believe Amersham 'S' stock workings will become more commonplace over the next couple of months. The next wave of 'dedicated' 'S' stock workings (as by the new WTT in late July all T/Ops 'should' be trained) will focus on the higher kilometrage workings. Therefore Amersham/Chesham services in the 410-417 number range are likely to feature heavily in this respect as more 'S' stock arrive on the railway.

Focus on the current workings was made in getting S-stock to Uxbridge, Watford and the City. It just happens that to cover all of these is fairly simple with just a few stock, but the majority of trains working Amershams don't cover much else. Chesham has been "lucky" in that ex-Watford or Uxbridge trains happen to cover a couple of Chesham trips.
We are running the odd Train 401 training path to Amersham. It by no means runs every day, it may run empty or in service, and much as it has timings, it may not always stick to them. It would be pointless for me to guide anyone to wait at Amersham for it.
