1.) Are there really going to be 8 LTM carriages? (I highy doubt it). 2.) Wood flooring? (Again I would have thought impractical). 3.) No money to be spent on A Stock? (Money is being spent still (If minimally)).
Now, on this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1uE55jvnC4), bronzeonion and myself have tried to talk with some degree of sense. But, what i want to hear now, is someone who actually know what is going on, not someone who is being fanciful, and being very forthright (admittedly, so was I).
Any info would be greatly recieved, I am slightly more inclined to believe the maintainence goin, because it's been minimal lately.

I know, but he changes his mind a lot as well, first he said 5062 was the chosen one, then said 5232 was going to be saved. BTW I have made my enquiries to the LTM. I'd get nowhere speaking to TfL, as you rightly said just a press repsonse from 55.

I don't normally believe anything that person says, as he claimed that 5232 is earmarked for preservation and has the crest on the M door for that reason, when several units have had that crest for years. He also said the difference between an A60 and an A62 is whether both cabs were converted for OPO, which is of course nonsense. It was posted on here a while ago that the LTM would either get a DM or a 4-car unit depending on space at Acton. A post on London Reconnections does suggest that at least one unit go to the LTM: I also doubt that any vehicles preserved will get wood flooring, or have any other work done to 'un-refurb' them, as it would be expensive and they don't have funding to get the Q stock operational at the moment.

Well, here is an example of his lack of consistence in what he says, I quote from something he said on flickr - "The very 1st Active A60 to go is 5132. on 16.08.2010
And the final A60 is 5062 witch will be leaving service on 16.01.2012 i have had some sketch details from an inside source and the rumor is on the final day of service 5062 will serve out of its LUL livery and back in its Silver Finnish although interior will be restored floors will not be changed
5062 will then be handed over to the heritage fleet .. the only other A60 to survive will be the sandite unit in its LUL livery
LUL is not going to let the A60s go without them putting on a show
A well deserved end to what is over 50 years of service"
Well, that is contrary to anything else that he has said for the past 8 months or so. So, I think he confuses his own opinion with fact.
