Just looking at the TfL website and seen that the DLR is suspended on all routes except between Poplar and Woolwich Arsenal, which I'm presuming is because of London City Airport.
What's going on that is requiring such a big suspension?

There is what looks like rail replacement work happening in the Gallions Reach station area, which means that there is no access to or from the depot. There is probably other work happened elsewhere as well.

What's going on that is requiring such a big suspension? You are right that it's much bigger than normal and my first thoughts were that it was for some major software upgrade perhaps to do with Stratford International services and that they've taken the opportunity to carry out physical track repairs where necessary - there were signs of workers on the tracks near Crossharbour station on Saturday morning for instance. But as for the Woolwich Arsenal branch being kept open mainly because of LCY? You may be right of course, but LCY is closed between 1pm (or so) on Saturday until the same time on Sunday so there wouldn't have been that much demand to serve. And of course, just as Canary Wharf and the Isle of Dogs were inundated with all these extra buses, two separate lots of roadworks meant that no buses could leave Canary Wharf via West India Avenue towards Westferry and there were massive queues to get on and off the Isle of Dogs via Eastferry Road.
