Does anyone know where I can find some good photos of the works at Whitechapel? I'm curious to see what the central area between platforms 1 and 4 looks like at the moment and how much the fabric of the station is being altered to handle the escalators.
Likewise, does anyone know if any photos of the signal box will be released, showing the newly spare levers and the patched diagram? I'm still amazed that this frame is being retained; it will probably be the full stop on any signal frame relocking ever undertaken by the Underground, and it should be considered a major event.

Our own 21146 has some pics of the station and the signal box before the work started: www.flickr.com/photos/24772733@N05/page35/Hoardings were put up to close off pfms1&4, although those along pfm1 have now been removed to show new nosing stones and raised platform edge. Platforms 2&3 remain in use until June, when pfm1 returns to permanent use. Platform 2 will then be permanently closed. Work progresses to widen pfm4 out to meet the former 25-siding.

Excellent photos, thanks for the link. Have any notices been published about the signalling alterations 'on the ground'? I saw on another forum some speculation that a few of the newly spare levers would be converted to king levers and that A signs would be provided for all of the controlled signals so that Whitechapel box could be 'open when required'. Would this be the first time that an LU signal box has been so equipped since the 60s?
