I need to go to London on Sunday, but the DL is out due to planned works. Whilst investigating the alternatives, I came across this on the C2C website.
Late Alteration to planned engineering work,
The planned engineering work between Fenchurch Street and Barking has now been cancelled at short notice by London Underground. As a result, c2c services will run to a normal timetable all weekend.
So, will the DL be working after all (hopefully)?

Best give the TfL helpdesk a buzz... and point them to the website, just to be sure!
The TfL website still shows the work as going ahead!

c2c in actual fact had no engineering work planned for this weekend. The reason for the alteration was due to the PEW being conducted at Bromley-by-Bow. This would have necessitated a 40mph speed restriction on the down c2c line all weekend, hence the extended journey times between Fenchurch Street and Barking. If this work has been cancelled, c2c will run a normal service of 8 trains per hour tomorrow, and 4 trains per hour on Sunday. (Trains to Grays via Rainham start/terminate at Barking on Sundays)
But yes, best to check with TfL first.
Won't be on the 67 tour on Sunday now, as I've got relatives visiting on Sunday, who will need to use c2c. So if anyone does know, can they please clarify things?
Edit to add: Work is still going on at Bromley-by-Bow station, hence the removal of the TSR (Temporary Speed Restriction) on the down c2c. Don't know how this impacts on District and H & C line services though.

According to the Metro newspaper, the part closure of the District was not only for the now-cancelled track laying but also work at Blackfriars and Whitechapel. If this is still happening the District closure will presumably remain in force even though C2C can run as normal.

District line is suspended between Dagenham East and Embankment.
Hammersmith & City line is suspended between Barking and Liverpool Steet.
Circle line no service.

Ah well, not too bad in the grand scheme of things. It looks like the DL eastern end works peters out over the next few weeks or am I being too optimistic.
