I worked as a guard at Ricky in late 1973/ early 1974 and my regular motorman was Bill "Blossom" Byrne. He married a girl called Maddy and they moved to East Tilbury.
I heard blossom ended up as station manager at Chesham. his brother and father were also on the Met.
Does anyone know what happened to Bill? He's probably retired now.
