does anyone know if the wembley park shed mentioned here was the one that was once on the left heading into the station from preston road direction that is now sidings? its the only one i can remember there was at wembley. a shed is mentioned in this thread. districtdave.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=met&action=display&thread=5477a quote from this site got me thinking was this the one. www.disused-stations.org.uk/q/quainton_road/index.shtml"Another building was acquired from London Transport and was relocated to Quainton from Wembley Park station; it became known as the 'Wembley Shed' and houses engines and carriages awaiting restoration."

Wembley Shed was in the same place as the sidings - adjacent to the southbound Met tracks on the approach to Wembley Park station. In fact all that changed when the sidings were revamped was that the roof and walls of the shed itself were taken away.

Thought it was totally relaid aswell, to a slightly different geometry to boot?

Yes if we're splitting hairs then yes, the sidings were relaid, and new arrestors installed. But for the purposes of simplicity and to easier answer the original question, the shed was in the same place.

In days past the shed area was larger, however, when additional tracks were laid, the shed was reduced in size.

The "Wembley Shed" that's at Quainton Road is a different shed. If my memory is correct, it was originally sited somewhere in what is now the station car park. It was taken down by Quainton Railway Society members and moved to Quainton Road - this happened some thirty years ago.
