Hi all,
Recently i noticed that the trains serving the Far Eastbound platform depart slowly, and remain slow until we go past the depot where we build a little bit of speed.
Why's this?

Speed restriction most certainly.
I'd suspect something to do with the pointwork there if they found damage during inspection. Aren't a lot of the engineering works out that way to do with the points anyway?

Yeah, one of the main focuses on the Central line is to re-new the points at White City, so that would explain why there's a temporary speed restriction. |

Well today its going at normal speeds, so it does seem the White City works are finished now

It was intended to give a slow speed approach to the possession limit in the centre siding, unfortunately it works in both directions hence the slower than normal departure. The White City works were completed last weekend and the TSR was removed as part of that. |
