I should first of all I should point out that I have none. It's more of a request but I love seeing unusual photos of stock out of its usual surroundings and rare photographs of transitional periods.
For example, I've never seen a picture of 83 and 96 TS together, they ran side-by-side for a few months so someone must have captured it. Or A stock next to D stock during the former's recent Upminster trips. Do photos of R and A stock together on the Met in the early 60's exist?
I also know that 92TS made it to Ongar but does a photo exist of that?
We have years of the same stock running over the same lines so I thought it would provoke some interesting examples and discussion.

Certainly seen a pic of the 9ts TS at Blake Hall... I have a pic myself!
There are a couple of pics about 3 cars of 95ts coupled to 3 or 4 cars of 59ts!
Undoubtedly, there are other examples, including those that you mention!

I think so... did hear a rumour about of the 59ts wanting to go one way and the 95ts wanting to go the other... some kind of wiring error!

The trouble is that you don't have a camera when something 'interesting' happens. Back in April or May '79 I was near Romford station when I saw the brand new Leyland Titan T1 on the 165 when an 87 pulled out from behind it. The 87 was an RT which was unusual as it would normally be a Routemaster, by then the RT's were confined to the 62 route (about a week before the RT's were withdrawn.

Thats happened to me many a time, or I have, but got such a naff shot at it, that it was just a blurred mess with little detail, had the wrong settings on the camera...
How many times I have kicked myself for that!

I wish I had a digital camera on a mobile phone when I was young. I'd be sharing pictures of a D stock test train at Barking sidings in 1979 and (a vivid memory this) 5 number 5 buses in a row in Becontree comprising of 3 RML's, 1 RM and a T. Pah, anyway, post your rarities.

Wow! 1973 Stock on Fast and WB? Local platforms at Acton Town!
I once saw five RMLs on the 37 come round the corner at Isleworth under the rail bridge heading for Hounslow!

An (aesthetically) beautiful picture in any case! Have you thought of entering it into a photo competition.....you'd probably scoop a prize. Thanks!

Having been a lineman based at Acton Town for several years I wouldn't say it was that unusual, really unusual would be four Piccs in the four platforms. Piccs on the WB local were a frequent event in the evening but as Colin points out that is not 73 stock which 'hands up' I did not spot until I saw his comment two seconds after making my initial post!

Wow, extremely similar on the exterior. At a quick glance you wouldn't notice, but when I saw this post I went back for a second look and thought wow.

Aldgate by the looks of it.
SE13; that wouldn't be the first, only with passengers, it's been testing that way for a while.

It was Aldgate in passenger service - It's already in the S Stock thread in the SSR board. Picture was taken Sunday I think.

I have on occasion seen all 4 platforms at Acton Town occupied by Piccadilly trains and didn't regard it as unusual at all until reading it here.
Something unusual I do remember though is at Sudbury Town westbound I believe one cold and heavily snowing winter's afternoon I was assisting pushing a stalled 73 when a third train crept up on us and for a short space of time we were an 18 car 73 stock in the westbound platform and out it, all three trains with with passengers. I was only the Train Technician at the time so just assisted in what the crew wanted. We eventually got all the trains up the hill and away.

Some Piccadilly line trains do use the westbound local platform at Acton Town on a regular basis, but I am still yet to see one in the eastbound local, and to see / ride on one all the way along the local lines.

Picc trains used to use the EB Local at Acton Town when sent along the EB Local at Northfields. In the dim and distant past the EB Fast at South Ealing was used as a test track so everything during mid-day was sent along the Local. I have yet to traverse the EB LOcal to Hammersmith though in a Picc train, even after 45 years!

That was the first (and for the moment only) run outside of the test track environment. We have a few issues with wet weather performance that may take a bit longer to resolve!
