Whilst idly browsing the TfL website (as one does ....) I spotted the following in the 'Service update' section:
Metropolitan line: "Minor delays are occurring due to non availablility of track."
The thought crossed my mind - has somebody nicked a bit .... and is there a gap, plus much scratching of heads .... ?
;D

Update: Message now changed to read "non availability of staff". Does sound more likely!

twitter.com/tweetthetube has all of the TfL updates (checks every 5 minutes) - and the status is shown there in all its glory! However, the one below that shows for certain that these status updates are hand typed: "Bakerloo Line: Minor delays are occurring between Stonebridge Park and Harrow & Wealdstone due to an obstruction on the trach at Knton." Great!

Metropolitan line: "Minor delays are occurring due to non availablility of track." ;D ;D They'll use any excuse for our delays. However, as was revealed after correction, we had more than enough track and indeed more than enough trains, but were lacking in people to drive them.

OT a bit but my favourite strange excuse in the eye of the punter was Minor Delays to the Jubilee Line due to faulty tunnel lighting!

I still like the one where Upminster Bridge station was allegedly closed due to the Victoria Line upgrade works.
