Hi anybody know if anything unusual is happening at Moor Park today. Heard from a couple of people in the know that the station is shut but according to the TFL website station is open.

Interesting you say that, because I saw (and photographed) two separate S Stock trains on the Uxbridge line midday and early afternoon. They were both bearing the daytime Watford line numbers (441 and 451) and only going to Baker Street. Coincidence, but ..... ?

The S stock on the Uxbridge Branch was entirely unrelated to anything that may or may not have been happening at Moor Park. Recently it has been the case during the off peak that the S Stock trains are diverted to Uxbridge for crew training/experience purposes with an Uxbridge service diverted to Watford to cover the gap. This was the case this morning, with the arrangements made before 10 o'clock for both 441 & 451 to be so diverted on each trip until at least 13:00 hours. Each train picks up its booked working at Harrow on the south, giving Watford an occasional off peak service from and to Aldgate.

It is also becoming more regular for this to occur during the evening peak as well - as the timings work out a little easier than during the morning peak. It is by no means a permanent arrangement, and won't happen each and every day. It is all reliant on which Train Operators are on duty and which ones need to cover Uxbridge on the S-stock.

Again, thank you. Just for one moment yesterday, I thought the train I saw from afar might just have been going to Aldgate, but of course not (yet) ;D
